Deontrey Foster sentenced to 30 years in prison for trafficking Methamphetamine and Fentanyl
On November 7, 2025, a Carroll County jury found Deontrey Foster, of Bowdon, Georgia, guilty of Trafficking Methamphetamine, Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of MDMA with Intent to Distribute, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon. The Honorable Judge Dustin Hightower presided over the trial and sentenced Foster to 105 years, with the first 30 years to serve in the Georgia Department of Corrections.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michael Parrish, Assistant District Attorney Laura Almand, and Chief DA Investigator Becky Byrd. The investigation was led by Sgt. Kyle Jones with the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (A.C.E.) Unit, a multi-agency task force dedicated to combating drug trafficking and organized criminal activity in Carroll County.
At trial, the evidence showed that on July 24, 2024, the A.C.E. Unit obtained a search warrant for Foster’s residence on Wedowee Street in Bowdon after receiving information that Foster was engaged in multiple drug-related transactions at that location. The warrant was executed on July 29, 2024, resulting in the discovery of approximately one pound of methamphetamine, one pound of marijuana, 1.69 ounces of fentanyl, and multiple MDMA tablets packed for sale. Investigators also recovered an AR-15 assault-style rifle, ammunition, and multiple magazines.
This case serves as an example of the West Georgia Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office’s commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting our community from the devastating impact of illegal narcotics. It also highlights the diligent efforts of the Aggressive Criminal Enforcement (A.C.E) Unit, whose continued dedication ensures that those who profit from the distribution of dangerous drugs are held accountable under the law.
